I believe that this brooch is a few decades old. I was thinking that it might even go back to the 1940's or so.
The design is very "geometric" and the setting of the stones is unusual, at least compared with my other brooches. The stones are set in a grey metal, possibly some kind of pot metal.
There are no marks on the brooch. I am thinking it is low quality brooch but still with some vintage charm.

Very beautiful brooch freihet! I would say that it is a rather nice paste brooch of some quality so I agree with Ms.ChrystalShip :)
I can't see the clasp so it is hard to tell the age. Compare it with some of my paste brooches in my collection. The ones I have are marked and made of silver. Are you sure yours is not silver?
