I am so happy to be able to add another teardrop necklace to my collection of bakelite necklaces. This time I found one in the most tasty :) green colors with some yellow or white stroke in them which makes the swirls and marbled efect. The necklace is about 23 cm in length. It has small glasbeads in between the bakelite beads. The necklace is probably german and from the 50's or 60's.
Ms.ChrystalShip, :) LOL yes but it took a while to find them... I am always on the look out for bakelite. If I count the time spent and how often I find something it is probably not worth it :)
They are all nice in their own ways. It is great to have several colors and in a useful length. I was happy to find a green one as I find it harder to find green and red bakelite than brown and yellow, at least where I look for it.
And thanks for your nice coment Ms.ChrystalShip!
Thank you dear friend! Ha ha yes it is tempting LOL :) Can't promise I will find more of these but if I do and it is the same color as I already have I will get it for you :)
Can you see that the brown necklace have the beads threaded in another way than the other? All the beads are pointing in the same direction. I think it is actually more natural than the other way but I can't make up which way I prefer. What do you think Val?
Did you seriously find these three at separate times and places??? That's amazing, they are even the same size!!! All so very pretty too. Yes, wear them together!
Yes I sure did. I think it is the same maker/company. They probably made it in several colors. Which I had a red one....
and thank you Shareurpassion!
Thanks everyone who have "loved" my post.
