Lucien Lelong - Petits Four Perfume Bottles minatures with box. Trace amount of perfume still in bottles.
Lucien Lelong (1889 – 1958) is a French fashion (haute couture) designer. His “golden age” was the era from the 1920s to the 1940s. His contemporaries were Chanel, Worth, Patou, Lanvin and Schiaparelli. The first fragrances of the house were named A, B, C, J and N and were intended to evoke a sense of mystery and romance. The artfully crafted bottles were mainly designed by Lelong himself. He ended up creating 27 different fragrances in total.
Lucien Lelong closed his fashion house in 1948 when he became ill, but did not close his perfumery business which existed under his direction until his death in 1958 and long after he was gone.
