I bought this grinder yesterday. It runs smoothly and strong. I intend to use it after cleaning it up and replacing the switch and wires to the motor from it. It is very heavy! All parts that would be stamped steel or plastic are cast iron. Even the washers holding the stones. They are also keyed to the shaft. Anyone know of a source for information on this machine?

Nice find!!! I love the old Black & Decker tools. How long does it spin after you turn it off? -:)

Iptools that's one thing I liked about it when I plugged it in at the antique shop. It spun for a long time after shutting the power off. To be fair it did have hefty stones on it that hadn't been worn much.

      Hi.
I have just joined your group and have never entered into this kind of venture before but having read comments about B &D Grinders I felt compelled to contribute.
A few days ago I had the good fortune to acquire a B & D Grinder, I have had plenty of such things over my many years, but the latest is the most fascinating it is a few years old, extremely heavy, 10 inch grind wheels 240 volt and runs like a dream. I wonder if anyone out there has one or has seen one like this.
Please respond if you require more information.
      Stay safe.
