Does anyone know anything about this? It still works. Bought at a garage sale. Thought it was a really neat clock.

Hello Donmarie,
Welcome to the "Clocks" section of Collectors Weekly.
My reference (Tran Duy Ly's book on Ingraham Clocks and Watches) does not show the MA2. It does show the MA1, which looks exactly like your MA2, as well as the MA3, and MA4. All of these models show up in the 1934 catalog so it's safe to assume that your MA2 was manufactured sometime around then. The MA1 was described in the Catalog as and electric Alarm Clock 6 1/4" high, 5 1/4" wide. Clear tone alarm bell with top stem shut-off. Heavy die cast case. 3 1/2" etched metal dial. Finished in Black with chromium bezel. Ingraham produced self-starting synchronous motors in their electric clocks which were listed under "Underwriters' Laboratories Reexamination Service". So they were probably fairly safe electrical appliances in their day, however, I would not leave this nearly 90 year old clock plugged in and unattended in my home. I would clean it up and just put it on display somewhere. It looks like the electric cord may have been replaced at some point in time. If you really want to use it, have it examined and serviced. Another option would be to have the case retro-fitted with a safe, and accurate battery powered quartz alarm movement.
Thanks for sharing your find with us.
Regards,
Bruce
