    I have it for many years, my wife does not appreciate it as much as I do. But I enjoy this sign. It most likely dates back to the early 1960's. I live in California now and it reminds me of my subway travels as a child.

      Beautiful sign! I would imagine that dates from the 1940s or 1950s, as by the 1960s few signs were still cast with that dark porcelain backing and by the end of the decade Massimo Vignelli and Bob Noorda had done away with that type of sign altogether. It could even be older, though the font seems too modern for the 1920s or 1930s. Incredible regardless of era!
