That's a new one to me Jenni and with that colour I would never have guessed Orrefors.
I like the base, watery and nest-ish.
Ha, when I first saw this on homepage, I thought it was a snail :). Nice and unusual piece!
Its as if he's sitting in a burrow, peeking out and noticing something out on the river? I love these animals by the way, they seem so sleek, playful and energetic and I think the pose on this one really makes him look very curious and intrigued! and I agree with Mrstyndall too- in the thumbnail I thought he was a snail at first :P
Gorgeous tones !~
Thank you everyone for the thoughtful love

Thanks Karen for the great compliments, I too love that rocky carved base and the bright orange color. This is my first Orrefors but I do know with the WWF series they often used surprising colors, like peach for the lynx. Have one more winter animal by KB for the WWF I will be posting soon
Many thanks MrsT for your kind compliments and yes, with that big carved "tail" it does look like a snail! Got this from Sweden though where it was called lutra lutra, another name for Eurasian otter
Lauren what a super description, they are very curious animals and this artist captured their ferret-like look I think. Agree about the snail look too lol
Thanks Phil for the wonderful praise, this otter does have lovely light to dark orange color tones and is one of my heaviest WWF animals due to that large base
very nice!!!
Sean thank you for the super compliment, I am so pleased that you enjoyed this unusual orange glass otter design
Many thanks for the thoughtful love
