Solid wood, I believe Maple. Chairs and table stamped with 825-77. I am unsure of the maker. It has wooden sliding blocks in the center to hold up the drop leaf ends and 2 extensions making it 72” in all. Chairs a re fiddle back Windsor all matching and numbered as well.
Your age is about right so is it being Maple. We had the same set until a couple years ago. Ours had the same chairs and also two mates benches. It came with one Captains chairs, four mates chairs and the two optional mates benches. Very common set that was fairly well made. I think they were made and shipped out of Pennsylvania.
