I have vintage New Haven Mantel 8 day Pendulum Chime clock. I dont know much about clocks but these are more that I inherited. I was hoping someone might be able to tell me any info they know about this model I havnt had much luck. Is it worth anything? From what I can see from the paper work it says eight day pendulum chime clock with a stamp OBAN underneath it. New haven clock CO. patented with dates from 1918-1923. This is missing the key but works great and makes beautiful chiming sounds. Almost 2 ft long and a 1ft tall. Thanks any info would help cant find similiar model.
This is one of New Haven's Westminster chime mantel clocks. It probably would have been made during the 1920s to 1930s. A fitting key might be found at TimeSavers. The case is commonly known as a "tambour" and was produced by several makers in America. It appears to be made of Mahogany wood.
They are not extremely rare, but they are fine quality clocks and worth keeping around. I suppose if it is in pristine condition, the clock might get $300 at a sale.
