Atomic age design brooch
Variety of stones in this very large brooch 4 1/2 inches long .
I believe it is a modern piece and not marked but the design caught my eye.
Thanks to freiheit it is made by Emmons :-)
Thank you Phil ! I have rearranged photo's to place the photo our Phil Morris has worked his magic on :-)
Did you see the mark on it?
Emmons
Founder (s): Charles H. Stuart as Emmons Jewellers, Inc. ~ 1949- 1981 -Like Sarah Coventry, this jewellery was sold at home parties. These parties had become very popular beginning in the 1950s. Acting as a distributor, Emmons soon became one of the major players in the costume jewellery industry.
Emmons jewellery was designed and made by others, and therefore looks and quality will vary.

Oh Thank you freiheit I did not see mark . I still don't :-( I am sure it is there I better get new glass's . I sure appreciate all the info .
I see it now it is upside down behind larger stone :-) so it is MCM not newer ?
Fabulous starburst design, love it!
It makes me think of “the Big Bang” occurring!
Some very knowledgeable people here Manikin, for which we are thankful.
I think it an excellent retro brooch!
Thank you Watchsearcher, I hope it is not the Big Bang though :-)
Many Thanks racer4 I agree so many helpful experts on CW in many different fiels of expertise .
Thank you kindly Brunswick I loved that era :-)
Love the shape and colors Mani - great find!
Thanks Hunter great to see you stopped by :-) always appreciate all you do for CW xo
Manikin, I hope my comment was not taken in some bad way. Referencing the “Big Bang” was meant as a good connotation since the theory of the Big Bang has to do with the rapidly expanding matter which marked the origin of our universe.
So, with that thought in mind, I meant it as a lofty compliment.
I apologize for any misunderstand otherwise.
It’s a lovely brooch!
I almost think it looks like an insignia pin like on Star Trek. Too bad we could not communicate with it ! Gorgeous design !~ xoxo
Watchsearcher I was just joking when I said I hoped it was not "The Big Bang" as in end of world :-) . I have a strange sense of humor I guess but I surely did not take you replay as offensive I just used a play one the words . Have a great day and your welcome to stop anytime although I don't post much these days
That’s a relief that u were not offended...but I can understand now that you were thinking of “The Big Bang” as an ending when I’m referring to it as the beginning of our universe.
Your posts and comments are always interesting, btw. I probably spend way too much time looking at CW, but it’s SO interesting and hard to resist.
Thank you to all of you that stopped :-) much appreciated
