This was handed down from my maternal great grandmother. My grandmother Flossie kept it out, cracks and all. It was kept in a drawer when I was growing up (dogs, cats, kids). My ex knocked it off the bureau once, went white, and begged, "please tell me that I didn't break that!"....
I dont believe that it is of monetary value given its condition, but I cannot bring myself to throw it away!
Sad that she survived so long and I agree it would be hard to toss her out . Do you have part of hair that is missing ? Lovely antique doll dates around 1860's and is in original dress ! I would take care to preserve dress and not touch it much and keep out of sunlight . There are doll repair people that could do wonders with her if you have the missing piece . Love her
Thank You! That piece was lost 50 years ago or more!
