    This, like many of my things, was from my maternal grandmother. I have no history on it. 7 1/2" tall, 5 1/2 wide. All the decoration is etched, or scribed into the clay, then painted or glazed, with the exception of the handles and mouth, which are simply brushed. curious if anyone has any knowledge about it. The lettering on the base says Italy.

      Yes you're right, this was made in Italy probably Perugia.. This style of decoration is called Sgraffito.

      "GT" monogram most likely belonged to an importer or possibly an Italian exporter.

      "NY" = New York?
