Older Seward trunk I found. Perfect inside. Brass is kind of tarnished. No key. Does anyone have an idea of what it's age might be? No markings other than SEWARD on the front handle. Thanks.

The Seward Luggage Co. was located in Petersburg, VA founded by Simon Seward in 1878. The Factory was/is located at 400 High St. At one time Seward claimed to be the largest maker of trunks and steamers in the US. Most of the products were middle-class trunks, nothing too elaborate. Still in business today owned by the Mercury Luggage Co.; their footlockers may be purchased at large stores such as WalMart and others.
