(1224 items)
I had this jar for a long time. Today, I had nothing better to do, so I checked for items I have not yet shared with you. Here is one of them:
A S. J. Levi & Co., 1901 - 1938, Birmingham, UK, Biscuit Jar.
The jar is in very good vintage condition. The glass is excellent but the silver plating shoes some signs of wearing off. I checked online for one like this but so far I have only found other items made by this firm. I guess I have to keep looking.
Thanks for looking:)
Gudrun very lovely cookies Jar, the glass seem to be from Kralik.
The hexagon Shape remind me some in my collection, definitely Bohemian.

Alan, thanks so much for your comment. I don't know enough to attribute this jar to any glass maker. It did remind me of Kralik, too, but I could not find a comparable example supporting my guess. Also, the hardware was made in the UK. I hope someone can tell me for sure:)
Forgot to say that I will check out your collection:)
The hardware is most likely made by another firm this is frequently seeing’s, like silver overlay or bronze mounts, the glass maker didn’t do that, specially utilitarian, like cookie Jar and Ewer.
This post of 5 years show 2 examples of Hexagon shape of cookie Jar, the light Green is Kralik and the dark Green with applied Flowers is Palmer Koenig.

Since this post I add 9 in the collection.
Alan
Alan, you have a wonderful collection!
Gudrun, thank you, I am a little crazy, I guess.
I found a nice cookies Jar today at the donation, what a coincidence humm,- I research a bit, but I didn’t find who made it yet, I will post tomorrow, I work early in few hours, I got to rest.

Alan, good for you that you found something. I haven't left the house in days. My husband had some health problems last year and I am no spring chicken anymore, so we decided that it would be best to "hibernate" until this blows over. I am starting to get really bored and miss thrifting! I can't wait to see what you found!
Isn't it funny how sometimes coincidences play out?!
Gudrun
This is of great interest to my wife and I, as we now live in the Squirrel Works, the factory where SJ.Levi produced such items. This is one of the few items that we have come across from S.J.Levi, although we recently managed to track down and purchase a silver plated fruit Bowl.
This is very interesting, Niel-Black. Thanks for your comment:)
