      That is a two prong wool bale hook. You probably won't ever see another. This liiks homemade almost.

      Thanks for commenting Brunswick, the white spot you can see is actually a paint splash. I see what you're getting at fhrjr2 but this item is made from quite a light gauge wire and I don't think it would lift much, also the ends are straight rather than hooked.
