Picked up this baby yesterday, they didn't tell me anything about it. I always am just curious about the history of my stuff. Thanks!

I wouldn't call this one mid- century. The overall style fits more with an earlier 20th century piece. Additionally the construction, oxidation and stamping on the back would make me think 1910s- 20s time period.

Drawer construction may shed some more light.

I would sooner think it is war years when the government held contracts on hardwoods. This appears to be a pretty much common dresser made of yellow pine from the grain I can see.

Could be fhrjr2-- does look like pine!

Thanks scottvez. I added a picture. Let me know if anything else would help. It looks to me like a couple of the bottoms of the drawers may have been replaced....it's like a thin piece of wood that kind of likes slides in.

fhrjr2, so when do you think it was perhaps made than? More mid-century? Thanks
