Cameo I came across after a family friend passed away. There is some letters or symbols on the bottom end on the backside that I am unfamiliar with. If anyone has insight, please share with me. I know it's relatively old, but I don't know how old or the origins. Beautiful Cameo!
Hi, I believe that is 800.
An imperfect mark for 800 silver, suggesting it was set in Italy, where the helmet shell cameo was made. Late 40s - 50s, most likely. GIs brought home a lot of souvenirs.
