This aqua-ish blue rhinestone and faux pearls set is by Oleg Cassini. 24k Gold Plate. In original case. It has been in my collection for over a decade. And is in vintage mint condition. Metal is bright and glowing gold in colour. Intact Cassini parures of this type are difficult to discover, because pave set pearl loss is sometimes substantial, and the translucent quality of the originals makes finding replacement somewhat difficult. The set is unsigned.
Cassini was an A-List American fashion designer, known best for his role of couturier to Jacqueline Kennedy in the early 1960s. His many company products included clothing and jewellery.
Necklace - 16”
Bracelet/Cuff - 6 1/2”
Brooch - 1 1/4” x 1 1/2”
Earrings - 5/8” x 1 1/8”
Classically beautiful Cassini set, his jewelry like his fashions was always first class. Really love the blue stones with the pearls they're stunning
Thank you, Jenni. It’s a great set. And the only one I have with this type of a cuff bracelet.
Eileen — Thank you for your comments. Cassini seems to have been interested in so many types of luxury goods. Sublime — love the word! Have not seen it written for a decade — I believe it was a bio of another rather renaissance (man) “designer” where I saw it last: Picasso. Clamper it is!
valentino97 — Thanks for commenting. Those little pearls need to be watched carefully.
