Duck decoy I found thrift shopping the other day. I haven't seen any other decoys with eyes like this.

Duck decoy I found while treasure hunting second hand recently. I don't know yet if it's a great treasure, but I like it anyway. I haven't found any decoys yet with the same type of eyes. It's hard to tell from my pictures, but the eyes look like hand carved Ruby's, or redish colored gems with a pin through the center. They might just be glass. I'm dreaming it's a big score?? It's fun to dream anyway. ????

I hate to ruin your big dream ......but...when I was a kid up north. During the winter everyone who hunted went out to their wood shed and fished out a good chunk and spent their nights sitting by the wood stove carving decoys or wooden drop pin cabinet hinges to sell. I don't see this one being rare or out of the ordinary. If you can find a collector who only collects decoys and doesn't have one similar to this he might buy it but don't expect the price of a steak dinner, maybe Big Mac fries and a drink.

The only problem with the dream
is eventually you have to wake up
      but still it’s cool looking
