    Watchsearc…
    (88 items)

Just a few of the Yard Art pieces around my place to keep things interesting before Spring brings an all-out riot of color. :-)
    1. Big Sweet Gum tree with big eyes watching....
    2. One of several bowling balls I decorated with glass and ceramic bits.
    3. Odd and ends put together to decorate a swing/seating area.
    4. One of several bottle trees. Decorated with trash pile finds, Avon bottle (still has Wild Country men’s’ cologne in it....love that stuff), thrift store vases, etc....

I can’t throw away a good piece of junk or interesting bottle- even a broken terra cotta pot I can put to use as a plant marker/label.
I just lugged some heavy moss-covered rocks and a cedar log from the woods so I could enjoy them as a “rustic arrangement” with Lenten Roses in a shade garden....there’s beauty everywhere if you just pay attention.....

My favorite quote is: “Everything has it’s beauty but not everyone sees it”.

Newfld, thank you for the love and comment.
Broochman, I’m glad the tree man had that effect on you. We need more reasons to smile! Thank you for the love also!
Iggy, thank you for your love as well, and I’m glad you like the bottle tree. I had so much fun with my elderly mom after I pulled bottles out of the trash pile (it dated from the 1960s). Just seeing their unique shapes, she (at age 88) could still tell us what they had contained when new.

To everyone who gave a love, I appreciate every one of them!

Keramikos- they are so cheerful- like jewelry for the yard. I have 3 others here and there scattered about in different parts of the yard...and even one of my dollhouses has a tiny one!
If there is any validity to the old Gullah belief (or hope) that evil spirits get trapped inside the bottles and “haints” are repelled by the color blue, I’m pretty safe here!

It’s so gratifying to see the long list of Loves! It’s so nice to know others enjoy this kind of thing, mostly made of odds and ends or things that might have been discarded.
