This Mickey Mouse camera in the Remigijus collection is made of a Six-16 Brownie Junior.
The ones I see for sale on eBay are fake.
This one looks original like the first where showing up.
The back of the faceplate has the normal Junior design. There was some glue on the faceplate and screw to fasten it, something what is unusable. Existence of the Mickey cameras ware unknown until 1995, when a few showed up. strange is the fact of discovering the camera after 50 years of being hidden, Kodak or Disney have not any records about this camera. Evidence suggests that the cameras were made as prototypes, but not marketed. The project may have started in the late 1930's, because the Mickey drawing and Disney company name are pre-war. The camera name and design are post-war, two are known to have an original box. Those facts are for me the reason to suppose that the cameras are made from old Brownie Target and Brownie Junior cameras about 1995, why there are different old cameras used to make the Mickey cameras is unknown. This camera, especially the Six-20 Brownie, is showing up more and more on the eBay site, strange is that so many are made only as prototypes.

Hello David, Perhaps all these cameras are not real, but the last time regularly on eBay camera are offered where the front of the camera with clean lines and rich colors, I am convinced that fronts the cameras have recently been made, do not buy them!

So I have read you post saying these cameras to be fake. I have just recently come across one. This is the only topic I can find suggesting that the camera is in fact a fake. I posted one on here yesterday. So what is your opinion.... is there any value to this piece? I have noticed these camera selling for thousands of dollars. Christie's sold one of these for 6000.00 and nothing mentioned of the camera being a fake.

I just purchased a large collection of cameras from a big time collector who just passed away, he had 2 of these Mickey Mouse Cameras with original boxes so that in itself goes to show that there are real ones out there, even if they were prototypes and just never sold on the open retail market. The ones we purchased are mint, never used and the boxes are close to mint. They are beautiful!

So, I know this was posted 9 years ago, but I'm wondering...what about the cardboard boxes that some have with them? Are they supposedly created in the 90's and made to look old, or made in the 30s or 40s when the faces and bodies came from? All of the ones I've seen have a similar amount of ageing. It's all a bit odd, but I want one anyway!
