"In 1931 Meccano Ltd introduced a range of diecast toys that were originally called "modelled Miniatures",
and these were an instat success. The name was changed to Dinky Toys in 1934 and the range was significantlly increased in size.
By the late 1930´s they were popular with children throughout the world, while the world Dinky became synonymous with many similar toys from different manufacturers.
Due to theys high quality, this incredible success continued after the war until, in the 1950s, serious competition arrived from the likes of Corgi Toys, Matchbox and other makes.
To this day Dinky Toys are still prized possessions by collectors in every corner of the world."

I love the "laid back" roof. This is a neat looking toy.
Looks like the Jetsons would drive this :)
