Hello CW Members, Followers, Friends and Visitors.
Before all Donation store shut down for good on Thursday, I found this Antique 4 shoulder bottle at the SA, what's very nice about it, this shape of bottle is rare and in addition, a Great Blue Heron among bulrush is painted on the bottle, that's the second bottle that I found with painting on, the bottle is dark Amethyst glass the usual color those bottle are found.
The bottle is 9.25 inches tall, 4 inches wide at the top and 3 inches at the base.

as i recall the shaped was advantageous for packing them together especially for export on ships of the sea

most likely date 1888-1900 going on style of lip
never ever seen an amethyst example ///normally green brown can be milk glass or aqua
however what is truly fantastic the gorgeous naturalistic scene a gembaroonie

There is a good chance that this bottle comes from the Netherlands because these dark green bottles in this shape were used as Jenever bottles at the end of the 19th century.

I've got one similar to this dredged from the Escravos River in Nigeria; acquired on a business trip in 1987. It's Dutch, late 19th century.
