This new glass item has helped me document my assertion that this type of glass spatter was also produced by Kralik, in the 1930s, which matters, as production changed to accomodate the depression era financial downturns.

It is found in the BB Monograph, with a series of 3 other baskets, I will ad an image of it when ready, it has an interesting description of color and style, the glass being 'mottled' or plainly colored. The size is medium, 6 to 7 inches high with handle.

This pieces has some black marking, but difficult to say what and when it was applied, looks like a number to me, maybe a resale price.

Addition: The 3rd image BB basket on the left is at a different angle, but does show the 4 lobed upper rim, this detail seems important, according to other collectors, rim tooling and treatment has now become another marker for a specific company.... I don't know if you could patent upper rim designs....but hey, some act like they were stricly proprietary. Same with glass colors, in general and density of spatter applications, these were also hand manipulated on a marver table, the number of chips, their size, shapes, and position matter when you are desperate to make attributions or not.

I am adding an image from the BB catalog, only shown once post Oct 1929. I should remind people that Wekz had closed it's doors in 1932, and so did other glassworks.

Kralik and Ruckl were left to continue their glass production, till Germany gave them different responsabilities. Which they complied with by 1939.

The foot rest area has a large polished pontil circle. The other basket has a form and shape that is the Kralik basket shape seen many times, usually in a much bigger size.

See last row of the catalog page, with an added flower and leaf glass appication on the right.
