Ive had this glass piece in the family for 20 years and just got it out of storage and i got curious as to who made it. Its a beautiful piece, I would hate to not know the history on it. Any info would be appreciated.
Yes, "Sooner" or Ozark art glass, made by a dozen or so small companies in the Arkansas / Oklahoma border area. Orville Hamon, of Scott Depot Glass, held the patent for this type of glass and is generally given credit for the origin but it was made by every company in the Spiro-Fort Smith-Pocola triangle. Pinning down the actual maker may be a difficult chore. The earthy colors suggest Becraft to me but that is just a guess.
I'm in missouri so ozark or Oklahoma glass isn't out of the question, with all the bubbles in it I had a guess for sooner and the color of recycled bottles. I figured it would be hard to figure this one out but it was worth a try. Thank you for the extra info.
