This is turning into a much more involved exercise than anticipated. I have always noticed that baskets, were not highly valued as museum quality examples of Bohemian and Czech glass or as a collectible investment. Yet Victorian and post WWI periods demonstrate a lot of basket production,
Decorative glass was often considered novelties, and baskets even more so, as their size were not conducive to many utilitarian purposes, this was more a cabinet, curio, or display type of object.
In part II, I have gone into the translucent style of the Kralik lines, with textures, and applications in different colors. Again images are used with permissions by Truitt, David Phelps and my own documentation and glass pieces.
