Love boxes of all kinds, not particular, it was a fun thing to have and find, there were many years I was a low income office worker, and I used to go to bargain bazaars in Montreal, and get something from India, or other near East or Middle East country.

Glass boxes from Czechoslovakia are especially nice, and I found that these boxes are a popular collector's item.

The difficulty with attribution is the same as other pieces, decor and shape match.

Morning Mary, these nice glass boxes are not that pleantiful on the resale market, they fit in price wise about $25 to $40, too expensive for the charity shops, and not expensive enough for the auction sales for estate, and antique shops.

Best bet for me is to use the Ebay search process, if you go on that site and ask for a search for small ornage glass box, you may get a few examples of different sorts, and then you ask them to save the search, and they will email you the new listings for that type of item every early morning.

Good way to grab them then as they wont last long. Another buyer will swoop in.

I would imagine that you would prefer see and touching what you find first before you buy it. Since I live in a remote area, there is not chnace for me to go to those huge antique fairs, not that these would be allowed this spring.

Thanks Mary, always nice to hear from you.
