This is quite a large Avon brooch and earring set. The larger stones are a light purple AB. There are both prong and pave set rhinestones. The metal is gold plate. The set is in Vintage Mint Unworn condition in its original marked case. Case is in perfect condition. Marking on the brooch is “902.” The clip earrings are unmarked. I estimate this set to be an early 1960s creation — somewhat after the advent of AB. The reason I’m dating so (at this time) is because of the styling of the bow, along with metal on the brooch back, and the style of the earring clip. I welcome alternate dating thoughts for this.
Brooch — 3 1/2” x 2 7/8”
Earrings — 1”
The stones almost shout out Sherman. Good quality provide a real Beauty of a brooch in super condition, and 60's seems dead on, flower power !~
Gorgeous floral design, the purple AB stones sparkle beautifully and how nice to have the original box
Phil — Thank you for your kind comments. Yes, the stones are somewhat amazing. Without the case, I wonder if I would have concluded this was an Avon set.
Jenni — Thank you. Yes, those purple stones are beautiful. Somewhat darker purple, actually, than the colour of those in the brooch alone sitting on the end table. The bright afternoon light has a tendency to wash out AB.
Broochman — D & E, you believe. Well, that is good news. Thank you.

Much appreciated.
Hi Eileen — Thanks for added information. Yes. No, I didn’t change date from 50s to 60s. I had it as 60s to begin with. Why do you think it’s earlier? See the AB — so it’s post 1955, for sure; but, also, look at those earring clips — they made the final decision of early 1960s for me. Can you date that style any earlier? I couldn’t. Thanks.
Eileen — Yes.

Thank you for your comment, Trey.
Phil — I agree about the colours in the first photo. I took all photos within 15 minutes in the same (bright) light, and, yet, there are differences.
