Bernie Green was a mainstream composer/arranger providing music for movies and television in the late 1950s and early '60s, When given the opportunity to be a little more expressive he offered this collection of orchestral experimental jazz notable for its unusual instrument combinations.

Youtube is a little thin for Bernie Green. This album can be listened to track by track here - https://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2008/07/more-bernie-gre.html

Oh THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH artfoot -- for sharing that link with us all right now as well as the album itself a couple days ago.
      :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

For the record (no pun intended) you just brightened my entire day (so far, it started out with staying in the bed until nearly noon because of otherwise general 'feeling sh*tty') BUT NOW, after listening to the entire album track by track (which also provided time for my daily meds to start to kick in?) I'm feeling IMMEASURABLY BETTER for some whimsical reason. CHEERS to Bernie Green too, for his own artistry!!!! ;-) ;-) ;-)

I wonder if I have a copy of this LP somewhere in my boxfuls...not one of the boxes of 'my own' records of course, but there's all those other boxes of 'other people's record collections' I've also got but never really sorted thru...? <lolol>

      Glad to contribute.
I hope this record has the same effect on everyone who listens to it.
