Hi everyone!!
Here's a Peter Rabbit figure that I've owned for quite some time now. He's from about the 1930 to 1940 era and is made of spelter. Though most folks are familiar with the Beatrix Potter version of Peter Rabbit, this Peter Rabbit design was originally created by Harrison Cady who wrote and illustrated a Peter Rabbit comic strip, around 1905, and supplied the Peter Rabbit illustrations for many Thornton W. Burgess children's books in the very early part of the 1900's, of which I also have in my collection. He measures 8 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" front to back. Though he's experienced a bit of color loss over the years, I'm still happy to have him in my collection.

He’s a dandy little fellow with the flower on his lapel and watch fob adorning his outfit...just right for a “garden party”. :-)

Thanks Watchsearcher!! Harrison Cady's Peter Rabbit is, and has always been, my favorite (only second to Uncle Wiggily Longears). His Peter Rabbit is known for the flower in his lapel and watch fob in every illustration.

With the exception of some minor paint loss, he does still look very good for his age. I hope I age as well as this Peter Rabbit has.

you have a wonderful collection of cast animals. I've seen some of them before, but I never saw a collection as nice as yours, and in the condition as your animals are in. Thank you for posting them.
Thank you for the awesome comment hotairfan!! I love all of my cast animals and keep a majority of them in storage. However, I do rotate them from storage to my outdoor space from time to time. Thanks again!! Scott
