    These dolls belonged to my grandmother who was Japanese, and also was sent to an internment camp during World War II. I remember these dolls as a child and wanted to know more about them.

      Hi there and welcome to CW. I wouldn't say they are "rare" because I believe since the internet came about, not many things can stand up to that title. But I would say they are original because many of these are hand made. As for dating them, it's very hard to say, there may be certain characteristics that may identify them but on these I don't know what that would be to help you. A lot of research goes into id-ing items and you learn as you go. Someone else here may know more about these and chime in soon, so hang in there.
