Japanese wooden dolls, and figures my grandmother had since I can remember. Any idea maker, origin, artist, anything? Would be a great help and mean a lot if I knew more about them

These are called Kokeshi Dolls, and yes, from Japan. I love the 2 in the hut!!! So cute. These dolls are very collectible and most are signed by the maker since the 50's. You can find great videos on you tube about how to make them, you might enjoy watching them, I know I did!

I just looked at the 2 pic closer up and am amazed, it has arms and legs! I haven't seen that before and thought the ones in the first two pics were older than the one in the last pic but I am just not sure now. It's signed, now all you need is someone that can read that for you! Try to get a pic of that and do an image search to see what comes up. I'd love to know.
