I’m reposting this ring to see if I can get any information on the turquoise, and who could of made it. It’s a very nice old pawn piece and I’d like to know as much as I can about it. I’ve taken some new photos.
OMG I left the page for a moment and everything I have written for you is GONE!!! haha, Oh well, I don't have much else to do anyway!
Ok, so what I was saying is that i believe this is a piece from the #8 mine in Nevada and is referred to as #8 turquoise. That mine is now closed since the 70's. Once a mine closes, that's it except for what someone has hoarded previously, or if someone sells a piece that's been in the family since somewhere around that time frame.
I can also tell you that this piece appears to be a natural piece of turquoise, IMHO, meaning it's more valuable than one that has been stabilized or dyed. #8 turquoise is one on the list of 10 to be most desired and in most cases, expensive. So, I'm dying to know what you paid for it cuz I think I know you pretty well, and you are like me... a little bandito in you, yes??? haha!
So, with my opinion stated, I want to take you to John Hartman of Durango Silver so that you can decide. John has many videos on you tube as well and is a super great guy that knows at a quick glance anything you may want to know about turquoise... a definite expert! He's got lots of info on his page and it's a great read!

Oh and I do have to say, on the back photo you have up here is not a signature of any kind. If you are going to keep it and prefer it to be shiny, then clean it with a jewelers cloth only, do your best not to get any chemicals on that stone. If you're not keeping it, leave it exactly as it is. Just sayin'. Let me know what you find out! I've found with turquoise id, I can be way off base. Once you look at the link site I gave you here, you may understand better why it's like that, even if I am pretty confident about it.
@shareurpassion , Thanks for the info! I paid 12.88 for this piece at a thrift shop!
LOL!!! Yeah buddy!!! hey, check out Pilot Mountain turquoise too!
