Another from the cleanout house (and yes, there's *still* more to come?! <lol>) I cannot yet quite convince myself that this candy dish and lid first actually came with each other...even though they seem to physically fit together nicely, I'm not knowledgeable enough about "patterns" to be able to recognize whether they really do "match", vs. just accidentally being the same size...??
That size is basically 7" across and 6" tall with the lid on, the bowl itself about 2-1/4" deep by itself. The lid is unmarked, pic #4 shows the [really difficult to photo!!] markings which are raised letters on the inside of the bowl -- near as I can see it reads "KIG" one side with "MALAYSIA" opposite that on the flattest center part of its bottom.
Once more none of that means much of anything particular to me...suggestions are MOST WELCOMED if anybody else can help with maker/pattern/age or whatever else. Also once more I don't really have any realistic expectation that they are anything really approaching old/fine/valuable -- just a couple more (free!) glittery glass bits that I don't have a clue what I'm gonna do with now...
<LOLOLOL> Hope y'all enjoy...STAY SAFE and BE WELL everybody... :-) :-) :-)
THANK YOU aura, fortapache, vetraio50, Brunswick, Watchsearcher, MALKEY, & Vynill33rpm for tapping your <love it> buttons.
Finally had a quick moment just now to actually google the "KIG MALAYSIA" thing...seems as though as I suspected there really isn't anything terribly old about this dish at all, no matter whether the lid came with it or not.
Oh well. One more that I won't havta worry too much about if kitty inadvertently 'kills it' one of these days, even if I do ever find it a sunny spot in the window to sparkle in the sunshine...?
