Fenton Glass remains some of the most collectible, and there are breathtaking early items still to be discovered “in the wild.” The figurals which Fenton is somewhat known for in its later production are almost unfindable here. The white hobnail line is one of the company’s most often collected, with its wide range of attractive styles. I am particularly drawn to Fenton pedestal bowls in various colours. Some of the nuances that collectors look for in this Fenton line are signature and not, and attached labels.
Beautiful examples of Fenton hobnail milk glass, these are all wonderful pieces Daisy
I fully agree...Their more recent items are at times nearly impossible to nail down :)
These pieces all have a very definite Beleek ware design to them, beautiful !~)
Jenni — This is what was obviously purchased most often up here. Most ... actually, all of these were found “in the (downsizing) wild.” Thank you.
Phil — Thank you for thinking so. I tried (amateur, for sure) light them to create a certain translucence.
Broochman — Thank you. Now is white “all colours” ... or the absence of colour — I am forever mixing that up. TY.
Thanks for all the Loves on this grouping. I appreciate every one.
Thank you, Eileen. I am also a white hobnail fan.
These are lovely -- and beautifully photographed!
I inherited a small number of Fenton pieces from my mother, and have been puzzling over whether to keep them. It's good to hear that people do value them. They do have a purity of line that's very appealing.
My first piece of glass was a piece of Fenton my mother inherited from her mother.
It was hobnail milk glass... I still have it a d much more Fenton, since.
