Here are our decanter and glasses that were purchased in Como area around 35 years ago I believe they may be Empoli three times fired but would appreciate confirmation and any other information
The decanter is a darker rose red base glass and the small goblets are nearer to rose pink the stopper is ground to fit
The decoration is raised and the flowers have a three dimensional effect. There are no identifying labels and the flat decanter base has the two gold dots which may mean something
Decanter is 280mm to tip of stopper and 110mm diameter at its widest The goblets are 95mm high and 75 diameter
Como Italy? Good chance it is as you say.
I did consider Japan like this one of mine
https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/188588-japanese-enamelled-decanter-and-glasses
but the leaves are different and the gold ground much larger. Tajima did make a shape like this and in crimson glass.
I had never considered the Japanese possibility
Thank you for expanding my world
Some collectors say that they have found Czech decorated glass in Venice, in their small tourist glass shops. Hard to say which is which.
I have a new blue bud vase with a similar decoration, with a label from Czechoslovakia. I should post it, the funny part was that another exact replica of my glass vase, without a label was being sold as Murano....
