Hi everyone. I have a thought...As all Imperial Glass lovers know the company was failing mid-late summer of 1984. A group of individuals formed a committee to save the company. They continued making glass items and marking them with the "SIC" mark, along with the classic "I" over a "G" mark. Sad to say......after about a month and a half of late summer that year the company went to the pages of history books. The items produced during this short amount of time were only sold at a handful of gift shops in the local town of Bellaire, Ohio.
I found this bowl at a local flea market in Texas and paid $5 for it. Does anyone else own or have any experience with the pieces? They seem to be somewhat rare as I can't find much about them online. Thoughts anyone?

I would like to assume these items are somewhat rare considering very short production run and limited area of sales.

lol Keramikos the pics you intended to post with your comment did not appear but yes...the mark is the same. "S" & "C" with a larger "I" inbetween.

I had no clue concerning the Committees efforts and their "sic" mark when I first laid eyes on this little bowl. Imagine my surprise confusion when I pick it up at the flea market....flip it over...and see the classic IG mark then below the "sic" mark. lol, I had no idea what to think.

Question...is Pioneer glass and this "sic" Imperial Glass the same in some way?
