These Czech spatter decors can be fabricated in several ways, Ruckl preferred the sandwich 3 layers of glass approach, clear glass interior, marvered applied multi colored chips, and clear exterior. This can be verified in the upper rim cut surface, which can be 1/4 of an inch on occasion.
My 3 pieces here are a rare hexagonal basket with clear handle and rosettes at each end, much like the Kralik hexagonal baskets, except for the base.
A tall hyacinth type vase, with many intricate toolings of the applied chips, to such an extent that each side looks different.
And the more easily found baluster vase in 8 inches height, this piece is in the Butler Brothers catalog. Also with it's own version of yellow and multi colored glass decor. I have 5 different glass decors in this shape, all the same size, see some previous posts of mine.
The unique Ruckl marker is that each spatter's main color, also shows a light grayish blue, and muted rose glass color. This would verify that the spatter colors were not random but made to form a grouping. The main colors were yellow, orange, red, pink, bleu and green.
Well, finally some action from someone. Goodbye, loves and comments. still appreciate what some members did. Thank you.
