Large Marble I am assuming. It has alot of pits and marks on the surface. I have seen a couple while browsing here. Haven't lost all my marbles yet I also have some small old ones. :)

How large is it? You didn’t include any measurements.

I used to collect marbles and was in a few groups of collectors. Most of these double pontil examples of hand made from the cane show signs of damage.
There was a guy in one of the USA groups who was the repair guru and he built a three head polisher [Spherical Grinder] which could remove all the surface defects but although you can refurbish the ball you also lose the pontils. Somewhere on an old computer I have details of how to build the thing he built using cheap motors and plumbing fittings If I can find it I will try and post it

it must be 3" round but I am not sure how to measure exactly. Thanks so much for info/input. I just love how it looks when the sun is shining through.

Most of them are called paperweights, this one looks as if it came from the late 90's to early 2000's with the stand, they are never called marbles anymore when they have some size. Most have a flat end so they can stand up.
