French Imperial Eagle attached to a leather belt

Bought this Belt several years ago on line. The seller Listed it as a Antique Leather Belt with a bronze Eagle, maybe have been used during the Suffragette Time. After doing some research I think it’s more like a Early French Imperial Eagle attached to a small size leather belt.
Any information would be appreciated to solve the clue as to how old it is and origin.
