Daniel Lotton signature décor “Cynthia” or "Eight Petal" bowl, 8" x 8”, signed and dated 2008. It weighs OVER 26 POUNDS!! The bowl is multi-layered & has gold fuming on the interior (that gives the bowl a sort of pale gold "verre de soir" appearance). I think there are five layers of crystal in this example, i.e. inner layer, layer with leaves and stems, layer with white flower segments, layer with pink flower segments and a final outer crystal layer. This makes the floral decoration itself three dimensional.
Daniel is one of Charles Lotton's sons.
FYI: The Cynthia is a wildflower that has two different types of leaves (the decoration does not actually look like the wildflower from which its name is derived).

26 pounds @!!!@
What a beautiful bowl.
I love this shape as it creates a very smooth rounded surface which comes alive with the exreme weight which I can only imagine by some of the large glass paperweights that I have, that are around 10 pounds. This one really gives the illusion of the flowers being perfectly lifelike, a dream in a reality. Wow is a good word, simple yet effective for this masterpiece of illusion !~
