We bought this lovely vase less than a year ago to Mario Celis, he has opened a shop in one of the galleries of Belgrano St. in Córdoba and as a sort of compliment because of the effort of beginning an activity when everybody is closing antique shops, at least here. It has 24 cm high and 15cm in the widest part. The variety of techniques, colors and the four layers of glass. In the site http://www.rucklczglass.com/idglassiv.html there are a description and several images, none of them is exactly as this one. The shape is different and the pfau effect is more complex forming trends…
In that page it is said “The glass has a white opaque interior surface, then a diamond criss cross light colored glass application was created inserting air bubbles exactly in the center of each. The base has a pulled shimmy pfau effect (flames) which contrast nicely with the other color used. The final exterior finish is a good layer of clear smooth glossy glass. “
One of the pictures shows in detail the trend and the bubles, other the colorless outer layer and the fourth the net levigated pontil.
There are to commentaries from collectors fellows at the bottom of this page explaining that the information on this web page has no solid bases.

It is a very interesting piece. I'm not sure that this style of piece has been firmly attributed, and certain websites can be over-enthusiastic with their confident claims. I am not ruling out Ruckl, by any means, but I am not knowledgeable enough to confirm. Perhaps others could chime in...

I agree with you WOW22, attributions are difficult

This appears to possibly be a variant of a decor which remains on my website as Unknown production. I do not find the attribution to Rückl, as claimed by some others, to be supported with robust evidence, either factory documentation or empirical. I am not saying it is not theirs, I am simply saying that I do not believe the evidence supports that attribution at this point in time.

Here are the examples on my site. It is worth noting that most of the images on the Rückl site being used to show the decor, are actually images I personally took of a large group of examples that were brought to a show specifically for the purpose of me documenting them. Prior to that, the decor had been seen on a very limited number of shapes.

Thanks welzdub. I change the attribution and you can see that neither the shape nor the threats are similar to other examples

I agree. Although similar to the other examples, I would have to see more evidence that they were even by the same company. Some might refer to it as a "variant" of the décor on my website, but we have seen previous mistakes made in attributions using the ideology of "variants".

Whoever made it, I like it, and I like the shape.
