I bought this several years ago from an Estate in Fort Worth Texas. The home was full of Western Art. This one was Framed already and presented nicely. I made an offer and they accepted.
I’ve seen these from time to time but not in this condition and already framed.
PRINTED BY: Unmarked, a "Stock" Poster, was printed to be taken town to town to advertise the upcoming rodeo.
AGE: 1940's
CONDITION: A, linen mounted, machine folded, as they all were, beautiful! A stunningly large cowboy poster, is already framed.
This wonderful and rare antique rodeo poster is a classic piece of American western art. It was printed to advertise an upcoming rode, and depicts an amazingly fluid and brightly colored scene of an American cowboy in his boots and leather chaps riding a bucking bronco. There are smaller inset scenes of roping and riding & standing bareback. The deep graphic style is bold and clean, and art deco in nature.
It is linen backed and is stunning...large, rare,
