      These are called cabinet cards and your examples date from 1880s- 90s.

      Looked through Directory of Early Michigan Photographers by Tinder and found additional information:

      Alonzo M. Cheney (active from 1860- 1895). He had several partnerships throughout the years-- this one being his last.

      Partnered with Benjamin W. Lawson from 1889- 1890.

      Lawson was active from 1887- 1905. Lawson ended his career in LA California (1894- 1905).
