A fur clip from my favorite thrift. Marked sterling. Given the design, materials and construction, I date this to the early 1940s when war regulations mandated that only silver and gold could be used for jewelry as the other metals were required for the war effort. The stones are very well faceted, which made me think it was an Eisenberg piece, but there is no signature. The gold wash is a bit thin, but then it is 75 years old!
Absolutely gorgeous retro fur clip Maureen, the swirl design & big center stone are truly spectacular - you find the most wonderful vintage pieces at your thrift, congrats!
Jenni, Thanks for the appreciation. The big center stone is really beautifully faceted. It was the most wonderful thrift.
MALKEY and aura, thanks for the love!
