Service medal 1939-1945

Absolutely cracking service medal that came in the same bundle as the purse. Now looking at the availability and value of this medal seems strange. There seems to be plenty around but the values range from what I paid (£1.00) to hundreds of pounds my medal appears to be genuine and in a fine condition so if I thought about selling it where would I put it and how much could I ask ?
