Hi everybody. This is a very nice example of Ridgway Pottery. This handled dish measures 8 1/2 in wide handle to handle. It was made between 1832 to 1841. The highly colorful Japanese motif is "Pattern 2618" made at the Church Works factory. It's my understanding that different numbers were given to the "blanks" and the number in red on the base reads 2617? or 2614....I have only located a few sources of reliable info...hence the pattern number. Does anyone collect Ridgway pottery like this? Thanks and enjoy. :)
