    This light belonged to my parents and I’m wondering if it is also a TV light. There are no identifying marks that I can find. Thanks so much for information. I have always wondered about these!

      I envision this one stop a newel post, gracing a beautiful stair case of a fine home.
      TV lamps emitted their light indirectly, away from the viewer. This one looks like it’s light is meant to illuminate the base of stairs, but dimly.
