From the cleanout house, I don't have the slightest idea whether this little dish and lid were ever meant to be together -- they just sorta kinda happen to fit anyways. Guessing more *not* actually, the lid is just a wee bit too loose, and with the dish's scalloped edge really doesn't seal it. Their patterns are both a kinda generic diamond design which once more might really match, or be just coincidental closeness to my untrained eye in such things.
The footed dish (sugar bowl? ice cream dish??) is about 4-1/2" at its widest, 3-1/4" tall by itself, 5-1/2" tall with the lid on. The lid itself is 3-3/4" across. No markings whatsoever (or damage, for that matter) to either piece. Suggestions welcomed if anybody recognizes something I'm not seeing about either?!! :-) :-) :-) :-)
the pattern is Indiana Glass 'Diamond Point' introduced c1965. But it's a marriage... the footed bowl is from a sauce set in the 1978 catalog; tho' some list this as a mayonnaise. the lid might be for a candy box.

so it's a *happy* marriage ; )
Well, I'll call it that anyways, TallCakes . . . ? ;-) :-) :-)
