Some of the meanings of the colour purple are dignity, devotion, sorrow, and magic.
This is a beautiful brooch with square dark purple rhinestones and pave set, light purple rhinestones. The metal is silver tone.
The maker mark on the back is a Swan. This is a Swarovski Crystal brand brooch. When I first saw this I thought it was a Coro. But no, it is not.
Having purple as favourite colour means you are compassionate and understanding, and sometimes too sensitive. My colour, for sure.

Eileen — Thanks for your comments. About your mother — interesting. My mother’s bedroom was even painted purple. I am “becoming” my mother, in several ways — I even say, “holy caboodle” now. I will post some backs, for this and other pieces.

Mrstyndall — Love the colour, too. I wonder why so many of us are fascinated by purple. Purple Sherman has a stron following. Perhaps there are studies, journal articles ... somewhere.

The colours in this example are not the usual associated with jewellery or purple. It seems it would come off as a statement piece when worn. Gorgeous 3 dimensional piece !~
